Opening Day Letter

April 26, 2021

Good Afternoon Coaches,

Well, we are finally here!!   Today our 2021 Spring Season begins!!  Today 11U games will be played at the Warren Community Center.  On behalf of the Board of Directors let me wish everyone a great season.

We have had many communications with you on what our season – soccer in general – will be like this year.  It certainly will not be as in the past.  However, if we all do our part – soccer will remain on the pitch and we can move forward with new seasons.

I realize that we have covered certain topics many times.  However, the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) which we are a member of, has also continued to re-emphasize many of the same topics.  These are important issues and in following the directives set forth by the MSYSA we can play our game and hopefully curb the spread of Covid while playing.

So, allow me once again to emphasize the importance of all players wearing masks during the game.  All coaches, spectators must also wear a mask upon arrival, during, and while leaving the fields after the games.  There is no exception.  Coaches you need to make sure your team and parents follow this without issue.

We need to maintain a social distance and we need to keep 2 spectators per player – to keep the amount of people to a minimum.  Please, let us all do our part, so the Warren Youth Soccer League continues to have seasons.

I have suggested to everyone in past messages; go to the MSYSA web site and review the Return to Play (RTP) guidelines.  These are the ones we must adhere to without option or exception.  I thank you in advance for your and your team’s cooperation.

Let us have a great 2021 Spring Season.

For the good of the game and those that play,

Al
