Soccer Update

We are now looking at all points and issues that the Warren Youth Soccer League will need to address before we can return to play.  The MSYSA has opened "Return to Train" (R2T) however this mainly covers Clubs/Leagues with travel teams or those teams who actually have players tryout and then sign with the team.  No directive has yet to be given as to return to play.

We will again be part of a conference call with the MSYSA Friday the 27th, and hope to have more information regarding Recreational soccer and a time line to start.  However the MSYSA has all intention of having the Fall 2020 season.  We will need to ensure that the guidelines that the State issues will be followed prior to the WYSL being able to open up for play.  Once we have a formal listing we will pass these on to all our soccer coaches and families.  One such guideline is the release that must be signed by all players and parents.  This release comes directly from the MSYSA.  In addition, guidelines will be given regarding social distancing, sanitizing (e.g. the ball) and other mandates that MSYSA will have.  Bottom line the League must be in 100% compliance with all guidelines.  We will need 100% cooperation from all our coaches and their parents to ensure we as a League are compliant.

We will continue to update everyone through our web site, our Facebook Page, and through Got Soccer messaging.  The Board is going to have a meeting siin to discuss all the points and then as soon as we receive final guidelines from the MSYSA will have a coaches meeting to discuss the points with them.

As always we hope that all our soccer families are doing well.

For the good of the game and those that play,
Your Board of Directors
